Interview with Marc Frohmüller

Hello Marc, thank you very much for your time. We are excited about the interview with you!

You have been with TechProtect since January 2021 as the new managing director. How would you describe the first months at TechProtect?

The first few months were quite sporty, as I had to deal immediately with the annual financial statements of the entire 4SR Group and at the same time a major personnel change took place in the finance department.

In 2022 we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Since then, we have grown continuously as a company. How do you envision the future of TechProtect and what exactly does success look like to you?

TechProtect is active in a growth market, which is becoming more and more important. Therefore, I see great growth potential in our core business areas, but also in new business areas where we can be successful in the future. For me, success means doing things that pay off for our customers, for ourselves as a company and for our employees.

The Corona pandemic has hit the economy hard, along with many other areas. Let’s look a little into the future. What economic development do you expect in the next few years? What risks do you see and what gives you courage?

I assume that the economy will continue to recover and that the shortage of available goods will disappear in the next few years. As a result, the current price drivers such as oil, gas, wood, etc. should also return to a healthy price level.

The upcoming transformation of the economy is an enormous challenge for companies. I am encouraged by the fact that we have many clever minds in the companies who have already found many intelligent solutions to solve challenging problems in the past.

Back to the day-to-day business of TechProtect. What exactly do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is that I get to talk to everyone in the company about their current issues and challenges and work with them to develop solutions.

And what are the biggest challenges in your daily work?

My biggest challenge is always to make the correct decisions for the good of the employees and the company. To do that, I try to understand the facts and backgrounds exactly, which is sometimes very time-consuming.

What has been your best experience at TechProtect so far?

My best experience was our common summer party, where I was able to see and get to know almost all of our colleagues in person for the first time.

What is it that makes TechProtect’s corporate culture so special?

TechProtect is especially characterised by its informal and open atmosphere, which makes it possible to achieve great things even in small teams.

Finally, we are interested in what you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, going out to eat and doing sports.
